This beautiful small-scale complex, completed in 2018, consists of eight life cycle proof appartments and is located in city centre district, Oostenburg. It was designed by IAA Architects and was nominated for the Zuiderkerk Prize 2018. It stands on historic territory where the VOC had its shipyard and legendary ships like the Batavia were built. Over three centuries later, a printing factory came here where record sleeves, CD and video packaging were manufactured for decades.

Via the central entrance you reach the 2nd floor by lift. Here is the entrance to this bright and fresh flat, with upon entering a spacious hall with wardrobe, toilet and access to the cleverly designed study. The study has sliding glass doors to the living room and plenty of storage space through the built-in cupboards. This room can be converted into an extra bedroom. From the hall, you walk past the study into the living room at the front of the house. The French balconies at the beautiful high double doors with classic arch in the living room look away to the Oostenburgerdwarsvaart. The thoughtful design of the flat is reflected in by the placement of the kitchen. Midway between the living and dining room, it is the central point of the flat and a real eye-catcher.
